ASSIGNMENT FOR WEEK 7 or 8

Dear students,

read the passages unit 1 through 6, make sure that while reading you also take some notes to keep some hints needed to help you retrieve some information you record from your reading. do not feel hesitate to look up dictionary when some difficult words are encountered. get some assistance from friends and learn in groups if reading alone cannot help. bring the notes with you when you see me in class. i will provide some questions to be discussed and answered individually. just relax it is only a game... get some fun meeting your mates and have some lively discussions with them.

what is important is to show to your class the best effort you have done.

Passive Teacher For Active Learners

Instead of taking the whole host of learning actively when she acts in front of her learners, this teacher views learners as intelligent entities that are always ready to respond every stimulation and challenge directed to them. This teacher realizes that making them aware of what they need to learn and how to learn them sounds more human than just letting them sit nicely but frozenly in a monotonous class session. this teacher will provide various topics to learn, show them how to learn, and let them which to them. She understands her learners' diversity in learning styles and strategy sooooo..... she will provide them model to make them learn based on the styles they have and strategies appropriate to them. they are encouraged to enrich themselves with various learning resources, and proudle present their attainment in front of the class....buttt... it is a hard work for learners.....WHILE teacher only watch....monitors with motivating comments and feedback...
She does not only assess the outcome but she considers the process is more ultimate. She is passive for the sake of making the learners learn more lively.

Active Teacher Acts

This teacher is an "active" and "energetic" one. She plays a very very important role in every class session. Learners are seen as individuals who cannot perform something without her facilitation. So... she works hard preparing every thing she assumes her learners need to know. Due to her limited time and energy she commits a book-based learning, whereas the only source she uses to drive her class activities is the only handbook she has..ouch... though sometimes the activity sounds dull and boring due to learners who are let passive... but she has work very hard for her learners. she explains every knowledge that she always thinks as new entity learners always need to know and keeps spoon-feed and spoils them no matter whether they are really happy being spoiled or not. And evaluation she makes is a sort of memorizing practices, success solely depends on good score that reflects how good ones can recall the entities they store.....
