This teacher is an "active" and "energetic" one. She plays a very very important role in every class session. Learners are seen as individuals who cannot perform something without her facilitation. So... she works hard preparing every thing she assumes her learners need to know. Due to her limited time and energy she commits a book-based learning, whereas the only source she uses to drive her class activities is the only handbook she has..ouch... though sometimes the activity sounds dull and boring due to learners who are let passive... but she has work very hard for her learners. she explains every knowledge that she always thinks as new entity learners always need to know and keeps spoon-feed and spoils them no matter whether they are really happy being spoiled or not. And evaluation she makes is a sort of memorizing practices, success solely depends on good score that reflects how good ones can recall the entities they store.....

Fiuh...I think active teacher is really interesting..and passive teacher is really motivating..each of them has each good and bad parts for learners..
good part for passive teacher is the learners can be independent..and the bad part is if the learners cannot think what the teacher/lecturer's wants, they just will get a bad score and of course cannot understand the subjects...
good part of the active teacher is the learners will get all of the information of the subjects completely..but it's for only on the short time because they just get it by the other people, not by themselves...
I think the best teacher from them all is half from the active teacher and half from the passive teacher..the teacher give the main part of the information to the learners and give them assignment which can make them learn what the teacher wants by themselves..the teacher doesn't just monitor the learners, but also give some solution if the learners get stuck on their assignments....

My Opinion :
It can be use in every school until senior high school. But in international school student were been hope to more active than the teacher, so teacher is not to be center of information and all of things that have relationship with school and learning. The teacher must have the other idea to make the student more active in the lesson. Teachers try to do all of method for lesson because student more can be bored with the teacher and the lesson. In my senior high school, student was claimed more active than usual with try to make presentation, group, and discussion about something and sometimes use English language.
In My Conclusion :
Teacher and student have mutualism relationship which one of them must know the characteristic of all student or teacher. If teacher not active, so student must have bravery to make different method so teacher can more active than before. And if the student not active, teacher must do the same thing. Try to avoid feeling of bored and always change the lesson method. Teacher and student must know about his/her self to make better situation, more effectively, more active, more fun, but student and teacher can get more from this. No feel teacher cleverer than the student, but always feel that both of them lesson together.

in this level of learning (college), the active teacher is not to important anymore. the person who must be active is the student, I means the learner. because the learner are already have the elements of the subjects.
for example, english..
I am sure that all of the student (learners) in this case have already get english from elementary school.. but, most of them just listen what are the subject from their teacher. in the other word, they get the active teacher!
and, what are the result?
I am sure that most of them are passive to speaking english, use the right grammar, and low to reading english.
so, wether they're have english from child, but they still get passive english for now.

first of all I think miss Kartika is a good teacher because she willing to find out what her student want to get this lesson.
I prefer "Passive Teacher for Active Learners" because by doing this lesson, student can explore deeper their skill in english. Besides the situation of the class could be more active. i thinl, every taecher will get mess up if has passive learnes like in this situation. But it’s worse than another case. Why? Because no one will get something if they didn’t do something. We have to fight for what we want or we need. I illustrated thus passive learners by somepeople who expect something but never fight for it. The active teachers will not help forever. I think “Passive Teacher for active Learners” is better method than “Active Teacher acts“. My reasons is the “Active Teacher acts“ only give us knowledge but not for skill. Different with passive teacher her methods can make us know and understand. In the other side with her methods we can get both hard skill and soft skill. This is my opinion the advantage Passive Teacher methods than active teacher acts.
First With provide various topic I believe every body can present their English in some topic that they like. In second article learners only roles as listener and not to active present their ability. and it doesn’t guarantee the learner can practice their English.
Second, show how to learn can be considering matter for learner to get knowledge and skill from English program easily. May be we can get solving for the other program. And with various learning resources learners will get vast knowledge. But if we only have one learning resources, we will not follow English development
If that methods can be applied, we will get both hard skill and soft skill that our school institute programming.
